Karen Lah
Creative Services Director
I love production! In my job I get to do it all write, produce, direct and best of all oversee a great group of talented producers. My first job in the business was writing promo copy for Scooby Doo. Most embarrassing moment asking on a film set “why is that monitor flickering?”
Jessica Fera
Manager Of Promotions
My job has two parts: Getting people to watch WPXI-TV and getting people to watch and respond to our clients’ commercials! I love that every day is different and that there’s always a new opportunity to be creative and develop a winning strategy for the station or for a client. Before working behind the camera, I worked in front of the camera. My assignments took me everywhere from the red carpet of the “Wedding Crashers” movie premiere in Manhattan, to the set of “America’s Got Talent” in Los Angeles.

Carly Noel Boucher
Sales Coordinator
I’ve worked in several capacities at WPXI over the years – newscast writer/producer, entertainment VJ, digital executive producer and now sales with a focus on production. My first WPXI job in 2004 was writing/producing the newscasts. At the same time, I was also a one-man-band news reporter at WJAC. Traveling back and forth between Pittsburgh and Johnstown was hard, but I learned a ton and had a blast. I love everything about television news and commercial production – the fast pace, the powerful stories, the beautiful images and the people I work with and meet.
Brian Wezowicz
Editor/Producer
I’m an Editor/Producer for Studio 11 Pittsburgh. I love that almost a century after its invention, television is as fresh and exciting as ever, and I’m excited to be a part of its future. My first job in television was as an intern for VH1’s “40 Most Awesomely Bad Metal Songs… Ever!”
Scott Dobson
Director of Photography
As a Director of Photography at Studio 11 Pittsburgh, much of my time is spent behind the camera shooting some of the spots and other programming we produce. I’m also a producer and editor collaborating with every member of our team to create work we’re proud to present to our clients. I’ve always been a “visual” person and television has been the perfect medium for me to tell stories through pictures. My first job in the business was at a CBS TV station in the basement of a high school. It got better. After a couple more stations in a couple more cities, I am now in year 30 of my two-year plan for Pittsburgh and I couldn’t be happier.
Jared McLaughlin
Cinematographer, Writer, Producer
I am a cinematographer, writer, and producer for Studio 11 Pittsburgh. What I love most about video production is the individuality that comes from the creative process. Every production is a giant jigsaw puzzle, with millions of different ways a spot can be written, shot, and edited. The output is always completely unique to the artists who made it. I started as a freelance filmmaker for shorts and music videos, but transitioned into television when I took a job in Toledo, OH as a commercial videographer.

I operate robotic cameras and floor direct. This was my first job in television. I’ve always loved being behind the scenes of a “Live” newscast.
Sam Lunz
Production Assistant
I am a Production Assistant with Studio 11 Pittsburgh. My favorite part of working in television is seeing so many different visions go into making a newscast or TV spot and getting one result that satisfies everyone. My first job in the business was as an on-set photographer taking behind the scenes stills for a Travel Channel program.
